What we collect
When you request a consultation through this website, we collect the information you choose to provide: your name, phone number, email address, the kind of claim you're asking about, and your short description of what happened. Browsing the site itself does not require an account and we do not run advertising trackers.
How the form works
Consultation requests are delivered to Michaelson Law's email using Formspree, a form-processing service that stores and transmits submissions on servers located in the United States. By submitting the form, you consent to your information being processed this way. If you prefer not to use the form, you can email dan@michaelsonlaw.ca directly or use the Microsoft Teams chat link on this site.
How we use it
Your information is used for one purpose: to assess and respond to your inquiry. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing. If Michaelson Law cannot act for you — for example, because of a conflict — your information is used only to tell you so.
Retention
We keep inquiry information only as long as it is reasonably needed — to respond to you, to run conflict checks, and to meet our professional record-keeping obligations — and delete it when it is no longer required.
Your choices
You may ask at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to any professional obligations that require us to keep it). Contact dan@michaelsonlaw.ca and we'll respond promptly.
A note before you write
Please don't include confidential details in a first message. Submitting the form or emailing us does not create a lawyer–client relationship — that happens only with a signed written retainer, after we've confirmed there is no conflict. Until then, keep your description brief and general.
